With Inner Vision I had wanted to make something more reminiscent of a full band, but still stay true to what Blume is in my head. These songs tended to be a bit more open and flowing, while utilizing the use of repetition as a means to explore sounds and open the floor to experimenting. Influenced by the sounds of the 70's I drew inspiration from psychedelic rock, soundtracks, early electronic music, and kraut rock. The album is a bit more guitar focused, with guitars and synthesizers taking the lead backed by a drum beat and pulsing bass locked in a steady groove. All songs were written and recorded throughout summer and fall 2022 in my apartment, downtown Edmonton.
